Mission to Mars

Mission to Mars is an immersive STEM curriculum that empowers educators to take students on a journey across the solar system—straight to the Red Planet. In this training course, you’ll learn how to guide students through a series of engaging engineering design challenges that mirror real-world problems astronauts would face on a mission to Mars. Across 8 hands-on missions, students will design launch vehicles, build parachute systems, explore Martian terrain, and culminate with a capstone challenge: designing a sustainable habitat for human life on Mars. These activities are aligned with Next Gen Science Standards and ideal for both in-school and informal learning environments. Through video walk-throughs, ready-to-use lesson materials, and educator community support, this course prepares you to confidently lead your own Mission to Mars program—building your students’ skills in collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. By the end of the course, you’ll be a certified Mission to Mars Educator, ready to launch a Space Club that’s truly out of this world.
